Arrival thoughts and sights.

It's kind of surreal. I've spent the last couple of hours just hanging out in the hotel room. It's still kind of unsettling in that I'm in Manila. I really don't know what to say about this place. The hotel... wow... I have a kitchenette, a living room, a bed room, and a bathroom. Internet is a per day fee. No big there... it's a business expense. My phone doesn't seem to work here. I guess It doesn't work on the particular gsm band here. I remember de-boarding. Walking through the airport. It was still setting in. I then met the gentleman who walked me through customs, got everything taken care of. Then there was Ivan. great guy. He's my driver and an Alorica employee. I can tell I'm going to be taken good care of here. Then walking out of the airport... just seeing everything. It was kind of a blur. =P There were Jeepnees, a type of colorful mini-bus. People just standing in middle of the road waiting for traffic to clear. It was different. But I do love it here. I wish I could just share the sensory overload as I walked to the car. There were scents in the air that were familiar... but strangely exotic.

All I know at this point. I am in Manila. And I am happy. =)
